MONDAY, 1ST MARCH, 2021. THEME: THE VESSEL GOD USES. MEMORY VERSE: “ But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.”  2 Timothy 2:20   BIBLE READING: 2 Timothy 2:19-21 (KJV) 19. Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. 20. But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour. 21. If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work. MESSAGE: There was this young lady at the University of Lagos who had been praying, “God use me, use me for Your glory.  Lord use me, want to be able to heal the sick, to cast out demons. I want to be used by You...

WEDNESDAY, 24TH FEBRUARY, 2021. THEME: PERSEVERANCE. MEMORY VERSE: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.  Ephesians 6:18 BIBLE READING: 2 CORINTHIANS 6:3-7 3. Giving no offence in any thing, that the ministry be not blamed; 4. But in all things approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses, 5. In stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labour, in watching, in fasting; 6. By pureness, by knowledge, by longsuffering, by kindness, by the Holy Ghost, by love unfeigned, 7. By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armour of righteousness on the right hand and on the left. MESSAGE The word perseverance can be simply described as being persistent in doing something despite difficulties and delay in achieving success. No one can excel in the Christian journey without perseverance. (2 Timothy 4:2) encourag...

TUESDAY 23RD FEBRUARY, 2021. THEME: GUARD YOUR HEART. MEMORY VERSE: “ Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.” Proverbs  4:23 BIBLE READING: Psalm 119:10-12 (KJV) 10. With my whole heart have I sought thee; O let me not wander from thy commandments. 11. Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee. 12. Blessed art thou, O LORD; teach me thy statutes. MESSAGE It is shocking how believers engage in all manner of conversations and associations carelessly. If you know the value of your heart, you would guard it jealously.  In (2 Samuel 13) we see a classic case of what happens when a person does not guard his or her heart. Amnon who was a prince and could have married any lady in the land lusted after his half-sister who was a virgin. He then engaged in a seemingly harmless conversation with a friend who watered the seed of evil already planted in his unguarded heart. The evil desire then blossomed and led to his...

MONDAY, 22ND FEBRUARY, 2021. THEME: THE POWER IN A NAME. MEMORY VERSE: “That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;” Philippians 2:10   BIBLE READING: Philippians 2:9-11 (KJV) 9. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name; 10. That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11. And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.   MESSAGE: Many people wonder why names are important. Well, to start with, a name says a lot about the bearer. The Bible says that whatever Adam named the animals, that is what they were called (Genesis 2:19). What you are called has serious consequences on what you become.  When I was a lecturer at the University of Lagos, there was a Professor’s typist who everyone jokingly called Prof. Whenever the...

FRIDAY, 19TH FEBRUARY, 2021. THEME: HOW DESPERATE ARE YOU? MEMORY VERSE: “ And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me.” Genesis 32:26 BIBLE READING: Genesis 32:24-30 (KJV) 24. And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day. 25. And when he saw that he prevailed not against him, he touched the hollow of his thigh; and the hollow of Jacob’s thigh was out of joint, as he wrestled with him. 26. And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me. 27. And he said unto him, What is thy name? And he said, Jacob. 28. And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel; for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed. 29. And Jacob asked him, and said, Tell me, I pray thee, thy name. And he said, Wherefore is it that thou dost ask after my name? And he blessed him there. 30. And Jacob called...

THURSDAY, 18TH FEBRUARY, 2021. THEME: RICHES WITHOUT SORROW. MEMORY VERSE: “ He that hasteth to be rich hath an evil eye, and considereth not that poverty shall come upon him.” Proverbs  28:22 BIBLE READING: 1 Timothy 6:9-11 (KJV) 9. But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. 10. For the love of money is the root of all evil; which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. 11. But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness. MESSAGE: God wants His children to be rich, but according to our Bible reading today, He warns them to flee the inordinate ambition to be rich at all costs.  These days, many people engage in cybercrime and ritual killings just to get rich. There are some others who are good at falsifying figures so as to ge...

WEDNESDAY, 17TH FEBRUARY 2021. THEME:  BUILD FOR GOD. MEMORY VERSE: Is it time for you, O ye, to dwell in your cieled houses, and this house lie waste?  Haggai 1:4 BIBLE READING: Hag. 1:1-10 1 In the second year of Darius the king, in the sixth month, in the first day of the month, came the word of the Lord by Haggai the prophet unto Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, saying, 2 Thus speaketh the Lord of hosts, saying, This people say, The time is not come, the time that the Lord's house should be built. 3 Then came the word of the Lord by Haggai the prophet, saying, 4 Is it time for you, O ye, to dwell in your cieled houses, and this house lie waste? 5 Now therefore thus saith the Lord of hosts; Consider your ways. 6 Ye have sown much, and bring in little; ye eat, but ye have not enough; ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink; ye clothe you, but there is none warm; and he that earneth wages ea...

TUESDAY 16TH FEBRUARY, 2021 THEME: GIVE CHEERFULLY . MEMORY VERSE: “Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.” 2 Corinthians 9:7   BIBLE READING: 2 Corinthians 9:6-8 (KJV ) 6. But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. 7. Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity; for God loveth a cheerful giver. 8. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work;   MESSAGE: I see some people’s reaction when it is offering time and wonder if they know whom the offering is for at all. God is not broke and He is not a beggar. He doesn’t need your money.  We see in Haggai 2:8 that silver and gold are His, If you have the opportunity to give Him an offering, you ...

MONDAY, 15TH FEBRUARY, 2021. THEME: DON’T BE FOOLISH. MEMORY VERSE: “ Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.” Matthew 4:7   BIBLE READING: Numbers 14:22-30 (KJV) 22. Because all those men which have seen my glory, and my miracles, which I did in Egypt and in the wilderness, and have tempted me now these ten times, and have not hearkened to my voice; 23. Surely they shall not see the land which I sware unto their fathers, neither shall any of them that provoked me see it; 24. But my servant Caleb, because he had another spirit with him, and hath followed me fully, him will I bring into the land whereinto he went; and his seed shall possess it. 25. (Now the Amalekites and the Canaanites dwelt in the valley.) To morrow turn you, and get you into the wilderness by the way of the Red sea. 26. And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying, 27. How long shall I bear with this evil congregation, which murmur against me? I have he...

SUNDAY 14TH FEBRUARY, 2021. THEME: PRAYERS FOR YOUR MARRIAGE. MEMORY VERSE: “ Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.” Matthew 18:19 BIBLE READING: Matthew 18:18-19 (KJV) 18. Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven; and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. 19. Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. PRAYERS: 1. Father, thank You for my marriage. Please breathe afresh upon my marriage in Jesus’ name. 2. Today, I decree that my marriage will fulfil God’s divine purpose in the mighty name of Jesus. 3. Father, please make our home Your abode and never leave us in Jesus’ name. 4. Lord, You said in Your word that if two of us shall agree concerning a thing, You will do i...

FRIDAY 12TH FEBRUARY, 2021. THEME: LEARN FROM MICHAL. MEMORY VERSE: “Therefore Michal the daughter of Saul had no child unto the day of her death.” 2 Samuel 6:23 BIBLE READING: 2 Samuel 6:16-23 (KJV) 16. And as the ark of the LORD came into the city of David, Michal Saul’s daughter looked through a window, and saw king David leaping and dancing before the LORD; and she despised him in her heart.  17. And they brought in the ark of the LORD, and set it in his place, in the midst of the tabernacle that David had pitched for it; and David offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before the LORD. 18. And as soon as David had made an end of offering burnt offerings and peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the LORD of hosts. 19. And he dealt among all the people, even among the whole multitude of Israel, as well to the women as men, to every one a cake of bread, and a good piece of flesh, and a flagon of wine. So all the people departed every one to his ho...

THURSDAY, 11TH FEBRUARY 2021. THEME:  WORKING AGAINST YOURSELF? MEMORY VERSE: What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?  Romans 8:31   BIBLE READING:  Matthew 18:23-34 23 Therefore is the kingdom of heaven likened unto a certain king, which would take account of his servants. 24 And when he had begun to reckon, one was brought unto him, which owed him ten thousand talents. 25 But forasmuch as he had not to pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, and his wife, and children, and all that he had, and payment to be made. 26 The servant therefore fell down, and worshipped him, saying, Lord, have patience with me, and I will pay thee all. 27 Then the lord of that servant was moved with compassion, and loosed him, and forgave him the debt. 28 But the same servant went out, and found one of his fellowservants, which owed him an hundred pence: and he laid hands on him, and took him by the throat, saying, Pay me that thou owes...

WEDNESDAY, 10TH FEBRUARY, 2021. THEME: TEACH YOUR CHILDREN FIRST. MEMORY VERSE: “The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left to himself bringeth his mother to shame.”  Proverbs 29:15)   BIBLE PASSAGES: Proverbs  22:6, Proverbs 29:17 (KJV) PROVERBS 22:6 6. Train up a child in the way he should go; and when he is old, he will not depart from it. PROVERBS 29:17 17. Correct thy son, and he shall give thee rest; yea, he shall give delight unto thy soul. MESSAGE: I used to tell my daughter before she got married “When a boy comes to you and starts to say things like “You are the most beautiful thing under heaven, you are the sugar in my tea, I’ve never seen anything as beautiful as you, where have you been all these days because as soon I saw you, my sun began to shine… run!” She asked “Why?” I replied “How do you think I got these lines? I was once your age”. You have been in this world before your children got here. God brought them through you for a purpose...

TUESDAY, 9TH FEBRUARY 2021.   THEME:  A TIME TO FLEE III.   MEMORY VERSE: Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry. 1 Corinthians 10:14   BIBLE READING:  Deuteronomy 4:23-24 23 Take heed unto yourselves, lest ye forget the covenant of the Lord your God, which he made with you, and make you a graven image, or the likeness of any thing, which the Lord thy God hath forbidden thee.  24 For the Lord thy God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God.   MESSAGE: Our God is a jealous God. He hates to share you with any other god. That is why you must flee idolatry. Idolatry means worshipping idol. Anything you regard higher than God is an idol, whether you are doing it consciously or not. This is why you need to check who you are worshipping at every point in time. For some people, it is their Jobs. They don't joke with their job at all; even when it clashes with God's will, their job is priority. Jesus said:      . "No servan...

MONDAY 8TH FEBRUARY, 2021. THEME: A TIME TO FLEE (2 ). MEMORY VERSE: “ Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.”  2 Timothy 2:22 BIBLE READING: Genesis 39:7-12 (KJV) 7. And it came to pass after these things, that his master’s wife cast her eyes upon Joseph; and she said, Lie with me. 8. But he refused, and said unto his master’s wife, Behold, my master wotteth not what is with me in the house, and he hath committed all that he hath to my hand; 9. There is none greater in this house than I; neither hath he kept back any thing from me but thee, because thou art his wife; how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God? 10. And it came to pass, as she spake to Joseph day by day, that he hearkened not unto her, to lie by her, or to be with her. 11. And it came to pass about this time, that Joseph went into the house to do his business; and there was none of the men of the ho...

FRIDAY, 5TH FEBRUARY, 2021. THEME: THE JOY OF SALVATION. MEMORY VERSE: “Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:”  1 Peter 1:8 BIBLE READING: Psalms 16:8-11 (KJV) 8. I have set the LORD always before me; because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. 9. Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth; my flesh also shall rest in hope. 10. For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. 11. Thou wilt shew me the path of life; in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. MESSAGE: Our God is a cheerful God and that is why joy is a fruit of the Spirit. Psalms 100:4 says when you come into His presence, you are to do so with praise.  Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.  Psalms 100:4.  You c...

MEMORY VERSE: “If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:” Isaiah  1:19 BIBLE READING: Deuteronomy 28:1-13 (KJV) 1. And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth; 2. And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God. 3. Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field. 4. Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep. 5. WEDNESDAY, 3RD FEBRUARY, 2021. THEME: BELIEVER FOR SHOW?. MEMORY VERSE: “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.” Matthew 7:21 BIBLE READING: Matthew 7:21-23 (KJV) 21. Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23. And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you; depart from me, ye that work iniquity. MESSAGE: One Bible passage that amazed me when I first read it is Matthew 7:22-23.  It says that there will be so-called believers who would have been healing the sick and casting out demons in the name of Jesus here on earth, but on the last day Jesus will say to them  “Get behind me you workers...
